A: The Battle Baton is not designed to replace the strategic front end Business Continuity Plan, but uniquely compliments it by generating the important information required to support the Business Continuity Planning and communicate its details with those that need to know.

This is the important information that is very time consuming to generate and virtually impossible to control and keep up to date. The term for this information is In Case of Emergency ("ICE") Data. The Battle Baton does all this for you and much more, saving you significant man-hours in the short term and thousands in the long term.

You can even Email broadcast to everyone loaded in the system in just a couple of clicks.

It is easy to start with a single Site licence and carry out a full appraisal of the system in a few hours. Then very simple, just a few clicks, to scale up to suit the size of the organisation as required, when you are ready.

A: The Battle Baton is a powerful ‘Database Reporting Application' that uses core data input via a 'bulk-load' operation. Set-up is therefore simple and fast.The application uses Microsoft SQL, providing our clients with a superior service.

A: It was a simple business decision to run the Battle Baton on a secure fully managed server to provide the following assurances for clients:

  1. Security of sensitive data
  2. Access to your data from anywhere 24/7 - 365 when your own server is down
  3. Multi-site creation and cross site reporting available from a single data source
  4. Streamlining of our system management and maintenance to deliver the best service
  5. Highest level reliability, 99.9% network availability
  6. Security of passwords... we do not have access to them, but we can re-set them

Q: What data security and safeguards are in place?

A: We pride ourselves in guaranteeing our clients data security and have a range of best practice security measures in place.

These being:-

  • Totally independent system located within a best in class GCAT accredited data centre (Government approved level of security)
  • Custom built dedicated Graphite ISP – P4 servers (only Myriad Optima clients are able to access our servers).
  • Dedicated secure encrypted SQL database (nobody can access or read data without the correct logins) – Safe, fast and efficient. Because of encryption and scrambled passwords, even Myriad Optima cannot access your information, except for BCP Supervisor(s) contact information.
  • Dedicated Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128 bit encrypted data transfer connection
  • Dedicated Cisco Pix 515E hardware firewall with instant security patch updates
  • Scrambled secure logins with Company ID, Username, Password and random 3 alpha character check from your defined security phrase. Myriad Optima cannot read your passwords, only re-set them to the original password per user.
  • Dedicated ‘High Grade’ bandwidth
  • Total system and service monitoring 24/7 - 365

A: Clients have access to our UK FreePhone number and should have a response within 5 mins and by email in 2 hours during the standard operational hours of 10:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday, and within 3 working days if in writing. Myriad Optima has invoked a technical support policy that offers flexibility, redundancy and assurance to our clients. The technical support is free of charge with no catches. We will even hand hold you through the simple set-up routines, also free of charge.

Our technical support operates a ‘Single Point of Presence’ for the multi-site technical support. In simplistic terms you nominate 1 person as your technical support liaison with our help desk.

If an 'Out of hours' emergency call is required, or 0800 04 09 707 is not accessible, please call our BC Tel: 0844 56 04 707, and someone will be available to assist you.

Our technical support is covered on two levels to guarantee service and business continuity in the event of a catastrophe. Firstly, Myriad Optima have in-house technical support with an expansion programme linked to sales. In addition there is technical support overflow facility and business continuity agreement in place with our product development business partners.

Rest assurred that any/all business partners of Myriad Optima are governed by our strict codes of practice and binding agreements.

A: Maintaining your BCP can be very time consuming and if it not kept up to date will no longer be effective. The Battle Baton application solves this problem. It will both enhance and simplify your BCP in all stages of development, therefore saving you time, money and resources.

Plus, also included within the Battle Baton is our independent email broadcast system that enables
BC Administrators to broadcast BC messages to members by selection or en masse in seconds.

A: In the unlikely event of someone wanting to discontinue the Battle Baton service, our Helpline will guide you through the process.

We operate a “no-quibble” guarantee, which means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, we will issue you with a full refund for the price you paid on termination of the Service under the terms stated below.

Firstly, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you may cancel your order for any reason within seven working days following the day on which you activated the service. Secondly, it is your statutory rights, if you're not completely satisfied with your ‘Battle Baton’, we provide an additional 23 days (total 30 days) within which period you may discontinue the service whilst still being entitled to receive a complete refund.
